EAGAN, Minn., March 10, 2011 – Thomson Reuters announced today that it is teaming up with the Ethisphere Institute, a leading international think-tank dedicated to the creation, advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability, to host the third annual Global Ethics Summit which will take place March 15-16, 2011, at the Westin New York at Times Square. This year’s theme focuses on effective strategies for global corporate compliance.
According to Lee Ann Enquist, vice president, Professional Development, Thomson Reuters, who is helping organize the conference, the goal is to offer participants critical and timely insight into the risks and challenges of conducting business abroad. “By bringing together leaders from more than 40 global companies, this event offers attendees an in-depth learning experience that encourages the sharing of best practices for navigating an increasingly complex and daunting global corporate landscape,” said Enquist.
David Craig, President of Thomson Reuters GRC, added, “Highly regulated firms face significant pressure and costs to better manage risk. We are working with corporations globally to help executives and their advisors connect risk and compliance information in a way that encourages innovation with greater operational transparency and oversight. Participating in this event is a tremendous opportunity for everyone facing similar challenges to discuss the most pressing issues and strategies to address them.”
